Essex House Hotel at 1001 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida.

My husband and I just recently stayed at this hotel. Great location and and helpful staff. The free continental breakfast definitely exceeded my expectations.. probably one of the best I've had offered by a hotel. The rooms were adaquete, although noisy. Understandable though being an older hotel and thin walls. There was no counter space in the bathroom, just a few glass shelves,but at least somewhere to put your toiletries. We enjoyed having access to the Clevelander hotel, they have a lively pool area and a great sun deck! Housekeeping did a good job, except they don't restock items such as shampoo unless you've thrown it out. Air conditioning worked well, was just a little noisy. Overall, I'd recommend the Essex for a visit to South Beach.
